Caucasoids in Latin America

Most Caucasoids who have settled in Latin America are of the Mediterranean variety, whilst there does exist a minority of the Nordic variety.  These peoples frequently mix with other races, like the Amerindians.

Amerindians versus Austronesians

Some claim Amerindians (in the Americas) are different from Austronesians (in Island Southeast Asia), but they do have physical similarities.  Some anthropologists do lump them together as Paleo-Mongoloids, warm-adapted Mongoloids, in contrast to Neo-Mongoloids, cold-adapted Mongoloids of the Far East.
